About
Us
Chronic Critical Illness and Long-term Ventilation (CCI-LTV) constitutes a specialized segment within the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) Network. This subgroup is devoted to enhancing the care, outcomes, and efficient resource utilization for children and young adults grappling with severe chronic illnesses, chronic respiratory failure, and technology dependence.

This demographic represents a vulnerable and expanding cohort of patients, exerting a significant impact, particularly in our tertiary and post-acute care settings. The unique needs of these individuals necessitate comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care. Therefore, we extend an invitation to professionals with an interest in this patient population, including colleagues from critical care, pulmonology, neonatology, complex care, palliative care, rehab medicine, bioethics, and other related fields, to join our collaborative efforts.
